Amish-Style Apple and Cinnamon Baked Oatmeal

Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 apples, peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 cup nuts, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine rolled oats, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together milk, maple syrup, and eggs.
  4. Mix the wet and dry ingredients together.
  5. Fold in the chopped apples and nuts (if using).
  6. Pour into a greased baking dish and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Serve with additional maple syrup if desired.
