Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and sugar.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the applesauce, milk, egg, and melted butter.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Fold in the diced apples gently.
  6. Spoon the batter into a greased muffin tin.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
