- ½ teaspoon baking soda

- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup mashed ripe bananas
- ¼ cup milk
- ½ cup chocolate chips
- ½ cup chopped walnuts

- ½ cup maraschino cherries
