Blueberry Cinnamon Rolls with Blueberry Cream Cheese Frosting

Delicious homemade blueberry cinnamon rolls topped with a rich blueberry cream cheese frosting.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast; let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Mix flour, sugar, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Add the yeast mixture and melted butter to the dry ingredients, knead until smooth.
  4. Let the dough rise for 1 hour until doubled in size.
  5. Roll the dough into a rectangle, spread with butter, sprinkle with cinnamon and blueberries.
  6. Roll up tightly and slice into rolls.
  7. Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes.
  9. For frosting, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  10. Spread frosting over warm rolls and serve.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add lemon zest to the frosting.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container.
