  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually stir the flour mixture into the wet mixture.
  5. Fold in the chopped pecans.
  6. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets.
  7. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Let cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

  • Chill the dough for 30 minutes for thicker cookies.
