  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the bananas and mix with melted butter.
  3. Stir in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Add the baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon, mixing well.
  5. Gradually add the flour until just combined. Fold in the walnuts if using.
  6. Pour half of the batter into a greased loaf pan, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar, and then pour the remaining batter on top.
  7. Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let cool before serving.
