- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 2 eggs
- 1 package instant yeast
- 1/2 cup milk, warmed
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup purple, green, and gold sugar (for decoration)
- In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- Add in the softened butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until combined.
- Gradually add flour and salt, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 5-10 minutes until smooth, then place in a greased bowl and cover. Let rise for 1 hour in a warm place.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- After the dough has risen, roll it out into a rectangle, spread with cinnamon sugar if desired, and shape into a ring.
- Place on a baking sheet and let rise for another 20 minutes.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden. Let cool.
