Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the pumpkin puree, egg, and vanilla extract and mix until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the pumpkin mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a lined baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes until lightly golden.
  8. Let the cookies cool completely before frosting.
  9. For the frosting, beat together cream cheese, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth.
  10. Spread the frosting on the cooled cookies and serve.
