Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until smooth.
  3. Stir in the pumpkin puree, eggs, and vanilla until well blended.
  4. In another bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the pumpkin mixture until just combined.
  6. If desired, fold in chocolate chips.
  7. Drop dough by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are set.
