- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for icing)
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, browned (for icing)
- 1 tablespoon milk (for icing)
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix together the pumpkin puree, butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing well.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
