  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onions and sauté until caramelized.
