  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons red food coloring
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together buttermilk, vegetable oil, eggs, food coloring, and vanilla extract.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed; do not overmix.
  5. On a floured surface, roll out dough into a large rectangle.
  6. Spread softened cream cheese over the dough.
  7. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle over cream cheese.
  8. Roll the dough tightly and cut into rolls.
  9. Place rolls in the greased baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  10. For the icing, mix powdered sugar and milk until smooth, then drizzle over cooled rolls.
