  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon milk (for buttercream)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, matcha powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add softened butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
  4. Pour the batter into the cupcake liners and fill them about 2/3 full.
  5. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Let the cupcakes cool completely before frosting.
  7. For the buttercream, cream together powdered sugar, softened butter, and cinnamon.
  8. Add milk to achieve desired consistency and frost cooled cupcakes.
