- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sear the chicken breasts for about 5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Add heavy cream, salt, and pepper, and bring to a simmer.
- Stir in chopped basil and 3/4 cup of mozzarella cheese, mixing well.
- Return the chicken breasts to the skillet and cover with the sauce.
- Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top.
- Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
