Oreo Cupcakes Recipe

  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup crushed Oreo cookies

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in vanilla and sour cream.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  6. Fold in the crushed Oreo cookies.
  7. Scoop the batter into the prepared muffin tin and bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let cool completely before frosting.

Notes

  • For extra Oreo flavor, add crushed Oreos to your frosting.
  • You can use a store-bought frosting if you’re short on time.
