  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup canned pumpkin puree

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together sugars, oil, and eggs until smooth. Stir in pumpkin puree.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into cupcake liners and bake for 18-20 minutes.
  6. Let the cupcakes cool before frosting.
  7. For the frosting, beat cream cheese, butter, and cinnamon until smooth. Frost the cooled cupcakes.

Notes

  • For a spiced version, add cloves or ginger to the batter.
