  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups sweetened shredded coconut
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a pie dish.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla, mixing until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Fold in shredded coconut, then pour the batter into the prepared pie dish.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool, then drizzle with caramel sauce and top with chocolate chips.

Notes

  • For added coconut flavor, toast the shredded coconut before mixing into the batter.
