  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar

  • 1 packet active dry yeast

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, dissolve sugar in warm water and sprinkle yeast on top. Let sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add butter, salt, and half of the flour to the yeast mixture. Mix well.
  3. Gradually add the remaining flour until a dough forms. Knead for 10 minutes.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover. Let rise until doubled, about 1 hour.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Punch down the dough and mold it into a loaf. Place in a greased loaf pan.
  7. Cover and let it rise again for 30 minutes.
  8. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool before slicing.
