Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, sugar, and yeast.
  2. Add the warm water and melted butter to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for about 1 hour.
  5. Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf.
  6. Place the shaped dough into a greased loaf pan and let it rise for another 30-40 minutes.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 30-35 minutes.
  8. Cool before slicing.

Notes

  • For softer bread, add more butter.
  • This bread can be made ahead and frozen.
