Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream the butter and sugars until fluffy. Add molasses, egg, and vanilla, mixing well.
  4. Gradually combine the dry ingredients with the wet, mixing until just combined. Fold in crushed candy canes.
  5. Drop tablespoon-sized portions onto the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the edges are set. Let cool before serving.
