Strawberry Honeybun Cake Recipe

A delightful dessert that combines the sweetness of strawberries with a tender cake, perfect for any occasion.

  • 1 box vanilla cake mix
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, eggs, water, and vegetable oil. Mix until smooth.
  3. Gently fold in the sliced strawberries.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon.
  5. Pour half of the cake batter into a greased baking pan. Sprinkle half of the brown sugar mixture on top.
  6. Pour the remaining cake batter and top with the rest of the brown sugar mixture.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the cake cool.
  9. For the glaze, whisk together powdered sugar and milk. Drizzle over the cooled cake.
