Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon almond extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth.
  4. Add egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract to the butter mixture and mix until combined.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients until combined.
  6. Spread the dough evenly into the prepared baking pan.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until lightly golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
