Turtle Bars

Delicious turtle bars loaded with chocolate, caramel, and pecans.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour and brown sugar, then mix in the butter until crumbly.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of a baking pan to form the crust.
  4. Bake for 15 minutes until lightly golden.
  5. Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over the crust.
  6. Pour caramel sauce evenly over the chocolate chips.
  7. Sprinkle chopped pecans on top of the caramel layer.
  8. Bake for an additional 20 minutes.
  9. Let it cool, then cut into bars.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of salt to the caramel sauce.
